Best Paper Award at the 2025 IEEE 28th International DDECS Symposium

We are thrilled to announce that Hussien Abdo, Jan Lappas, Mohammadreza Esmaeilpour, Christian Weis and Norbert Wehn have received the Best Paper Award at the 2025 IEEE 28th International Symposium on Design and Diagnostics of Electronic Circuits and Systems (DDECS) for their paper, "Design of a Low‑Power 4.3 Gb/s Transceiver Using Pre‑computed Lookup Tables,". This prestigious recognition highlights the significant impact and innovation of the research. We are honored that our work was selected among numerous high-quality submissions and grateful for the acknowledgment of our contributions to efficient high-speed transceiver design.
The awarded paper introduces a novel transceiver architecture that leverages pre-computed lookup tables (LUTs) to optimize critical analog front-end designs. By shifting complex design computations into LUTs, the design reduces analog complexity and enables a compact, low-power 4.3 Gb/s data path suitable for modern DRAM/LPDDR interfaces. Fabricated in an advanced process node, the proposed design demonstrates excellent performance in terms of power efficiency, signal integrity, and throughput, marking a significant advancement in high-speed, low-power interfacing technology. We look forward to further developing and applying these techniques within the field of energy-efficient mixed-signal systems.
