Traditionally, as at the end of each semester on the last Tuesday of the lecture period, the "Rusty Saw" takes place in the "Nachbrenner" (building 11, cellar).

The results of the lecture evaluations are presented there.

In addition to prizes for the best lecture and the best exercise, the famous Trophy in the form of a Rusty Saw is also awarded for the examinations with the highest failure rates. As a punishment for the fact that so many students were "sawed off" in their exams, the professors are additionally given the task of sawing through a tree trunk with a rusty saw. Two different saws are available. If the professors are willing to spend a barrel of beer, they may use the slightly less rusty tool. This offer is used to the joy of the students and coworkers naturally with pleasure.
