Master Program in Embedded Computing Systems (ESY)
Embedded Computing Systems (ESY) is a 120 ECTS credit points master program offered by the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU).
The language of instruction is English. The standard period of study is four semesters.
Students participating in this programme will be educated in three major areas:
- Architectures of Hardware and Software Systems
- Design Methodologies for Systems-on-Chip and Embedded Systems
- Embedded System Applications
The curriculum consists of a mandatory core part and an elective part chosen from a catalogue. All courses are given by teaching staff who are recognized specialists and active researchers in their respective fields. After completing all course components the degree of M.Sc. in Embedded Computing Systems is obtained.
Important note: Do not confuse ESY and EMECS! These are two different master's programs at RPTU: ESY is RPTU's regular master's program in Embedded Systems. It is run by the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU) with its partners in the Kaiserslautern Science Alliance. EMECS is a joint Erasmus Mundus master's program, “European Master in Embedded Computing Systems”. EMECS is coordinated by RPTU and is offered together with partners in Norway and in the United Kingdom. Please visit the EMECS website for more information.
