About the committee

The consulting committee for scientific publication serves as an internal taskforce, which offers advices for publications to the research staff at WICON and its sister team DFKI-IN, especially to the junior PhD students with little or no experience in publishing research papers. Upon inquiry, the committee members are consulting our colleagues with typical issues in the process of scentific publication, including but not limited to:

  • Evaluating the research project and identifying appropriate publication form (monograph, book chapter, paper) and submission targets (journals, magazines, conferences, workshops)
  • Setting up the basic structure, storyline, and highlights of the article
  • Visualization and styling
  • Reviewing and proofreading
  • Submission rules and legal issues (e.g. copyright, acknowledgement to the funding source, preprint policy, open access, etc.)

To request consulting, please directly contact a committee member regarding your specific research topic, or write to the entire committee for generic advices.
