Biografie

Waleed Breesam received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Basrah University, Iraq, in 2007 and 2013, respectively. Currently, he is a PhD student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. His PhD research focuses on developing a new control method for grid-forming inverters, virtual synchronous machines, and microgrids. His other research interests include power electronics, motor drives, renewable energy technology, energy storage systems, control systems, and artificial intelligence.

I am interested in the control, development, and design of grid-forming inverters in microgrids, particularly where renewable energy sources are predominant. Additionally, I am interested in the control and development of electric vehicle drive systems.
