Assignment:

Goal of this work is the development of a pedestrian recognition system on a Xilinx Zynq SoC. Besides identification and assessment of appropriate methods, application-specific benchmarks for training and test shall be set and implemented to be executable. Afterwards, a software prototype of the whole system shall be realized and evaluated on the Zynq SoC.

Background:

Pedestrian recognition systems are important pieces for autonomous vehicles on public roads. A wide variety of approaches and implementations on different platforms exist.
