Operating Systems WS 21/22
General Course Information:
An operating system is software, which allows the operation of a computer. It provides the use of hardware to application software without detailed interaction with hardware. The course gives an introduction into basic concepts and services of operating systems. Topics include processes and threads, synchronization and mutual exclusion, deadlock, scheduling.

When:
- The first lecture session will take place on the 3rd of November
- Lecture sessions will take place on Wednesdays from 10:00 to 11:30

- The first exercise session will take place on the 17th of November
- Exercise sessions will take place on Wednesdays from 11:45 to 12:30

Exam
WS21/22 exam:
The exam will be held on the 07th of April 2022 at building 42, room 115. The exam starts at 9:00h. Students have 2 hours to complete the exam.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the exam starts.
Don't forget your mask, the QR code associated with your EU Vaccination Certificate and your student ID.
